Benjamin Britten’s String Quartet No.2 is an incredibly special work for us. It is the first string quartet that we worked on as a group and it inspired our ensemble’s name. We were fortunate enough to view and handle Britten’s manuscript for this work during our Britten Pears Young Artists residency which was an especially emotional and unforgettable experience for us all.
