We were delighted to be a part of this very special evening performing Jasdeep’s own composition to close the evening of awards. The evening was made even more special as Jasdeep won the Instrumentalist of the Year Award, becoming the first sitar player in the society’s 200 year history to win this award. This award celebrated Jasdeep’s ambassadorship for the beauty of the sitar and for his composition ‘Orpheus’, an opera brought to life in collaboration with Opera North.
